I hear you on wanting the best for your baby girl and it sounds as if she wants to please you, but you can’t shield her from making her own mistakes.

On the other hand, when I was in my senior year with a boyfriend that had little direction, my mother talked him into going to the Navy, so by the time I went to college he was long gone. In reflection I’m so glad she did.
