When I read about it last year, in the book, "Black Fortunes," I was flabbergasted. There are annual events around town that celebrate Madame CJ Walker as the queen of Black hair care.

Shame on her and her husband. Folks who perpetrate the lie through fundraising events need to educate themselves.
