I appreciate your thoughtful insights, George. It's a shame we didn't know more about this disorder back then. We had no idea, but when I reflect on those times, it's painfully clear she needed help we weren't qualified to give.

I do keep her in my prayers and hope she found some help along the way. We lost touch over 30 years ago. Sometimes she comes to me in my dreams.
