I think this speaks to a larger cultural problem brought on by a digital age that encourages hiding behind a device without a face.

It happens a lot in my industry. People accept a position and then don't show up or work one day and bounce never to be heard from again. This was unheard of when I graduated from college and job hunting.

Then again, we've heard the horror stories of older generations who gave their lives to corporations and ended up with a gold watch and no pension as appreciation. It sounds like the chickens coming home to roost.😊
