I totally agree with everything you said. If I were truly a content creator or needed money from my writing, I'd be looking for greener pastures for sure. I'm here because I love writing and engagement of the community.

It's been good for outside opportunities too. I've since been published in a few Chicken Soup for the Soul books which I may not have had the confidence to submit my writing to before joining Medium. For that, I'm grateful. 😉 It depends on your "why" for being here.
