I’m sure that’s exactly what they were thinking. It’s cringe worthy to me that they relied on the device of longstanding stereotypical tactics that have historically maligned Black women in every area of life. I understand some may not care about the logistics of how we get there, it’s just interesting to see the dichotomy of uplifting the VP’s intelligence, education, and skill set while relying on those elements that confirm the negative beliefs ingrained in this country’s perspective about Black women.
