I'm with you. Don't ask if you can't handle the truth. Besides, by the time you hit mid life, you shouldn't need validation from people outside of the folks that really matter in your life. She didn't believe she looked good to herself and she didn't trust her husband enough to believe he was telling the truth which leads me to believe there's a much bigger issue going on here. 😏
