Indeed! This is the only way to grow empathy for people of color or anyone for that matter. Stand by them side by side. Try to see through their looking glass.

While we have a lot in common as human beings, our external world is tremendously different. Not to mention what goes on internally through our psyche, emotions, and perspective of our place in this society due to circumstances beyond our control.

This piece is a fantastic roadmap for your white friends. I hope they have the courage to make the effort to at least show you who they are at their core. Good stuff!
