It's difficult to think about building wealth if you reside in the 18% of the Black population that lives below the poverty line as compared to 7.3% for Whites and Asians. I imagine their biggest concern is finding a meal to eat and a roof over their heads on a daily basis. The people reading your well-thought-out and well-intentioned articles are more than likely not in this category.

The question is how do we get the people who need to hear these strategies educated enough to understand them, change their mindset, and evoke change for themselves? The black middle class is on a slippery slope---fighting to keep its slight foothold in the American dream. Whatever legacy they've managed to build and pass on to their offspring is on a slow drip to evaporation.
