Oh Toni, you brought a tear and a smile to my face this morning! As Black women, we've all endured this type of behavior our entire lives, especially in the professional arena.

I have a few buried hurt feelings myself over the course of my career because of the audacity to be the only Black woman in the room. It's the deepest pain to know you've been treated a certain way based on the color of your skin...something you have no control over.
