Preach! I could have highlighted your whole article! The indignities we face on a daily basis is unimaginable to them. Living in a world where you must restrict your true self based on someone else's ignorant perspective is paralyzing to the strongest of voices.

That's why it's so important our children learn in school the entire truth of our history instead of the whitewashed version. Without understanding, empathy is a lost cause. Thank you. Well said.
