Seriously? I think it depends on the reason you're writing. If you need the attention or monetary reward then yes, absolutely. But if you care about the quality of what you write based on the value you potentially bring to your readers then I think quality trumps quantity. In my humble opinion, the trick is to balance the two. Most people don't have time to read anything that doesn't provide value, provoke thought, entertain, or change a perspective.
