The entire political movement or narrative is more about the decline in population than saving lives. Less births means less labor force for the future. We can hide behind the emotional impact, but, let's not pretend the design isn't based on economic sustainability. Once the babies are here, government rarely cares about how their lives will play out uness they are the legacy of the privileged class.
