There are three sides to a story; yours, mine, and the truth. In my humble opinion, if a woman wants to know how her husband will thrive or not in a relationship, she has to understand the relationship between him and his mother. Perhaps the men have hidden resentment toward the mother that is unexpressed or the mother is completely oblivious to in the present.

We tend to think time heals all wounds. Not if they're not resolved in real time. Pardon my armchair psychology...for reasons of my own, I've always had a keen interest in child psychology.
