This almost brought a tear to my eyes. It's so true. We live in such a different world now, we never know who to trust and must be skeptical of everything.

I've had the same experience in a foreign land, no less with people who didn't speak my language and everything turned out okay. I'd never be that trusting today. A sad state of affiars.
