We don't have the luxury of forgetting who we are, nor do we have the luxury of not knowing at all. I've said it before too, parents have a responsibility to teach their children so they don't end up drowning in the pitfalls of their skin color.

It's an expensive lesson to learn when one ends up on the wrong side of the law for perpetuating ignorance with people who will throw you in the trash can of their memory as soon as you get caught with a morsel of wrongdoing in your hands. Tsk, tsk.
