While I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and allow for life to unfold for them, I do find it rude not to respond or at least acknowledge receipt of a message. On the other hand, like you mentioned here, everyone has their own perspective on what text messages mean and if they’re a priority to answer. I think, ultimately it depends on the relationship and expectations of communication styles. 🤷🏽‍♀️
