Yes, this is one of the toughest lessons to learn in life. Everyone is not your friend in the workplace, in fact I would venture to say most people are not your friend in the workplace especailly if you're a sharp Black woman for a myriad of reasons that have nothing to do with your work. That's the harsh reality in corporate America. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.😉

People will always show you who they are through their actions. An expression will say more than a verbal cue any day of the week. I can tell by your writing you're a bright, thoughtful, discerning young woman with an incredible future ahead. This was a great lesson given to you as a gift. Impressive work you do too!
